How bookings, payments and cancellations work.

These terms are between you and CLFD Pty Ltd trading as Human Powered (ABN 70 688 215 803), based on the Gold Coast, Queensland — referred to here as “we”, “us”, and “our”. You can reach us any time at hello@humanpowered.au.

We offer free introductory calls and paid consulting sessions. The name, format (online or in person), length, price, and what’s included for each session are shown on its booking page when you book.

These terms apply to every booking with us, free or paid, unless we note something different for a specific session.

• Free sessions are confirmed when you book.
• Paid sessions are confirmed once your payment is successfully processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We don’t collect or store your card details — Stripe handles that directly under its own terms.
• The fee shown when you book is in Australian dollars and includes GST.
• We’ll provide a tax invoice with your booking confirmation.
• If a discount is applied to your booking, these terms apply in the same way, based on the amount you actually paid.

• Up to 24 hours before your session, you can reschedule or cancel it yourself from your booking confirmation — full refund, no questions asked.
• Inside 24 hours before your session (or if you don’t attend — see section 5), the fee is non-refundable, because that time has been set aside for you. That said, life happens — contact us directly at hello@humanpowered.au and we’ll look at your situation individually. We’ll often reschedule or offer a credit. We’d much rather sort it out with you.

This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 9).

If you’re not on the call within 15 minutes of the start time and we haven’t heard from you, we’ll treat it as a no-show, and the same rule as a late cancellation applies (section 4). A quick message if you’re running late is all it takes to avoid this.

Free calls are exactly that — there’s never a charge if you cancel or can’t attend. We do ask for at least 2 hours’ notice as a courtesy if you can’t make it. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to book with us in future.

If we ever have to cancel or reschedule your paid session — through illness, an emergency, or something outside our control (see section 12) — the choice is yours: a full refund, or the first available reschedule at no cost. Refund timing is covered in section 8.

We issue refunds to your original payment method through Stripe. You’ll receive a refund where:

• you cancel a paid session more than 24 hours beforehand;
• we cancel and you choose a refund instead of a reschedule; or
• the Australian Consumer Law entitles you to one (see section 9).

We issue refunds within 5 business days. Your bank or card provider then typically takes a further 5–10 business days to release the funds to you.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

Any commercial rule in these terms — such as our cancellation rule — applies in addition to these rights, never instead of them.

What’s included. What you receive with a paid session is listed on its booking page, so you know before you pay. As a baseline, paid sessions include the live session — our time and advice — written notes or a summary, and any other materials listed for that session.

Our advice is given in good faith, based on the information you provide. It’s professional guidance to help you make decisions — not a guaranteed business outcome.

Recording. We record our paid sessions and use an AI notetaker to produce your notes and summary, and you’ll receive a copy. We’ll tell you at the start of the session. If you’d prefer we don’t record, just let us know and we’ll work from written notes instead.

Preparation. No preparation is required. We may ask you to complete a short intake form before your session so we can make the most of your time together.

• Privacy. We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.
• Your materials. The notes, summary and recommendations we produce for you are yours to use in your business.
• Our materials. We keep ownership of our methods, frameworks and templates — the underlying know-how we bring to every session.
• Confidentiality. We each keep what’s shared in a session confidential, except where the information is already public, disclosure is required by law, or it’s shared with professional advisers in confidence.

If something beyond our reasonable control stops a session going ahead — illness, power or internet outages, platform failures, or natural events — we’ll offer a reschedule at no charge, or a full refund if rescheduling isn’t workable.

Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, nothing in these terms limits or excludes the rights and remedies it gives you. Otherwise, our total liability to you in connection with a session is limited to the amount you paid for it.

The terms that apply to your booking are the ones in force when you pay. If we update these terms, the changes apply only to bookings made after the update — never to a booking you’ve already paid for.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction.

If you ever have a concern, contact us first at hello@humanpowered.au — we aim to respond within 2 business days, and most things are easily sorted. You can also raise consumer matters with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading or the ACCC, or lodge a minor civil dispute (up to $25,000) with the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
